Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation: Assist with setting up and preparing construction sites by loading and unloading materials, clearing debris, and erecting scaffolding.
• Assistance to Tradespeople: Provide support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching tools, holding materials, and performing basic tasks under their supervision.
• Demolition Work: Assist with demolition activities by using hand tools and power equipment to dismantle structures and remove debris.
• Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness on the construction site by disposing of waste, sweeping, and ensuring hazardous materials are properly handled.
• Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as wheelbarrows, forklifts, and power tools under supervision after proper training.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in construction is advantageous but not always required.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks as required on construction sites.

Qualifications:

• NYC SST Card
• OSHA 30
• Ability to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including heights and confined spaces
